Teacher Bio

My name is Maureen McCann and I am a second grade teacher here at South Hanover Elementary School. I am thrilled to work in this school and I am so grateful to have, what I believe as, the best job in the world. I taught fifth grade for eight years before coming to second grade. Yes, I will admit it, I love coming to school each day.  

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and son-in-law who live near Philadelphia.  I have two grandsons -  three year old Trey and  one year old Owen.  They are the joys of my life! I spent quite a bit of time with them this summer.  I also enjoy reading, gardening, trying new restaurants and going to the beach.
