June 4 - 5th Grade Promotion - The graduation ceremony and reception of the school's 5th graders. 5th grade parent volunteers are needed to work with the teachers and principal to plan the promotion of the 5th grade class as well as a reception with light refreshments after the ceremony. 4th grade parents are needed to shadow to prepare for the following year.
June - Field Day - A day of games is organized for all of the students near the end of the school year. Volunteers are needed to prepare and help the day of the event. Chair - Katie Garver kgarver@ldsd.org
Hospitality/On Call Committee (Throughout the year) - This committee is responsible for providing 2-3 luncheons per school year for the South Hanover staff. Volunteers are needed to set up and serve for the luncheons or make/donate a variety of food, supplies, desserts and drinks. Volunteers may also be needed on an "on call" basis to assist with other various duties (ex. addressing envelopes).
